Cait Schieneman
Licensed Associate Professional Counselor
Born and raised in Pittsburgh, I authentically care for the communities that surround me and that I am a part of. I am passionate about helping adults navigate the complexities of their experiences and develop a deeper connection with themselves. I work with individuals experiencing complex trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and challenges related to neurodiversity. I believe therapy is a collaborative process rooted in trust, compassion, and meeting each person where they are. My goal is to create a welcoming, supportive space where you can feel seen, understood, and empowered to explore your experiences at your own pace.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered and trauma-informed, recognizing that each individual brings their own unique strengths, needs, and experiences into the therapeutic space. I draw from a variety of approaches, including EMDR, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and somatic approaches.
Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy spending time in my garden, hiking, and making memories with my two children. I value the grounding and restorative qualities of time spent in nature and connection with loved ones, and I bring that appreciation for connection, curiosity, and growth into my work with clients.
